Skip counting and Multiplication

Zak has been working really hard at his multiplication this term. He has done heaps of skip counting, tally taking and basic facts practise. Im so impressed with how far he's come.

Zak is making morning tea for the class today.  First we drew up a tally chart.  Here is a photo of Zak asking his classmates what they would like to drink.  Getting the ticks in the right boxes is a big challenge.

Today Zak listened to the audio book The Day the Crayons Quit.

Then we decorated the Learning Support room's door with the characters from the book.  Zak did some great research, cutting out and was just helpful in general.

Math

Term 3 week 2 Maths

Goal is to take a tally and make a chart.

Her is Zak asking his classmates what hot drink they would like.  This involves filling out a chart, talking clearly and politely to people and counting in fives.

Here are Totara Three enjoying their hot drinks.  Well done Zak!  A whole lot of learning has just happened.
