World instruments

Zak has really enjoyed reading this book about world instruments.  We researched each instrument using his Chrome Book and listened to an example of each.  Zak liked the didgeridoo the best so he did some Aboriginal dot art.

Today he completed a chart about where the instruments come from, wrote a sentence about the missing instrument and drew a picture of a woman playing a sitar!

Reflection of Learning

Basic Facts
I have learned to do my 2 and five times tables through skip counting.

I feel my basic facts have improved. I can see this by looking at my basic facts results graph.

My goal for term three is to get 50/50.  To do this I need to have a go at all the questions

Tech
I have learned how to make potato wedges.

I enjoyed cooking.

Prep

I have learned how to make Christmas decorations.

I felt proud and happy because I worked well with the little kids.

Reading

I have read Amazing Ears, Dragon with a Cold, Letters for Mr James, and World Instruments

I have learned lots of new things about ears, animals and instruments.

I liked listening to the didgeridoo.

My goal for term three is to read more books.

Speech

I have learned how to use screencastify to do a speech.

This was hard work.  There was lots of failure and I had to persist.

My goal  is to use screencastify more.
